Indian national cricket team spinner Varun Chakravarthy has put his team on top during the ongoing first T20I against England national cricket team. The first match of the five-match series between the teams takes place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Varun Chakravarthy did not take long to make an impact with the ball in the ongoing match. The mystery spinner, in his second over, did most of the damage as he took two big wickets of Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone to put the Indian national cricket team on top.
Varun Chakravarthy got Harry Brook out first with the peach. Bowled around off, the batsman looked to push it down the ground but ended up getting an inside edge. The ball moved its pads and rolled back onto the stumps to leave the batsman in awe.
If that wasn’t enough, Varun Chakravarthy came up with another magic ball to get Liam Livingstone out. The batsman made room and exposed his stumps as he was hit by the googly. The batsman looked to drive this through the offside. He was beaten and the pole was torn from his leg.

Chakravarthy has looked unplayable in the ongoing game. England National Cricket Team batsmen cannot read their googlies. With his double strike in the innings, he left the opposition reeling at 65/4.
Chakravarthy, who returned to the Indian team recently, has ensured that his comeback is a memorable one. After two astonishing series efforts against Bangladesh and South Africa, England started the series on a high.
Earlier in the game, Indian national cricket team skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field first. Arshdeep Singh started his team with the ball as he took two wickets with the new ball to set the platform for his team.
The Indian national cricket team has since taken command of the game. They have been picking up wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel have also added their name to the wicket column.
For the National Cricket Team of England, it has been Jos Buttler, who has the key to his team. The captain has scored a magnificent half-century and is looking to take his team to a competitive total.
