I’m like, ‘That’s strange because we’re in the same house,’” Kravitz explained. “I answer the phone and she goes, ‘Hi,’ and I’m like, ‘your voice is very loud.’ And it’s like, ‘I’m in a little pickle. “My mother holds the snake’s tail. They’re all muscle, they’re very, very strong. I don’t know what to do. I’m like, ‘Okay, this hole may go into the drawers.’ So I’m going down on the ground, I’m pulling out the drawers. “Start panic. As it happens, the snake goes further and further (to the hole). I was panic so much that my mother liked to say, ‘If I had both hands, I would have slapped you.’ I freaked out. I am, ‘Mum, I can’t bring you anywhere!’ “
Ultimately, according to Kravitz, a Swift House manager intervened, though he was surprised to learn about a bonnet pet.
“He gets a crowd and begins to have to tear this feast apart. We tear the tile. We scratch the walls,” said Kravitz. “Taylor’s bathroom completely destroyed and this moment was where I was like, ‘either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that a snake is somewhere in her house.”
Eventually, Kravitz gathered the courage to call Swift and inform her of the incident, but the manager of the house appears to have arrived there first.
“We destroyed the bathroom and I told her house manager, ‘obviously I’m going to pay for everything to be stable. Don’t say anything until it was fixed,’” she shared. “I remember calling her and saying, ‘Hey,’ too (in a) a very loud voice. ‘Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something.’ And she is like, ‘Is the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?’ “
Host Seth Meyers joking, “I feel like that snake gets three songs on the next album.” Kravitz quoted in response, “called her next album OrpheObviously! “
