Zelensky requires sanctions after Russia hit 33 in Kiev

President of Ukrainian Valodimir Zelensky called for stronger international sanctions on Russia after the death attack on Kiev killed at least 31 people.

Zelensky said that five children – younger than the age of two – were among the dead, and 159 were injured in Thursday’s attack.

“No matter how much the Kremlin denies its effectiveness, the sanctions work – and they must be strengthened,” he said.

Kiev noticed the day of mourning after the attack on the capital collapsed in the apartment and damaged the hospital, school, kennel and university.

Russia launched more than 300 drones and eight cruise missiles during the attack, the Ukrainian Air Force reported. The attack was one of the most deadly Kyiv, which has survived since Russia launched a large -scale invasion in February 2022.

US President Donald Trump condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine and proposed to come new sanctions against Moscow.

“Russia, I think it’s disgusting what they do. I think it’s disgusting,” he told reporters.

On Monday, Trump issued a new term “10 or 12” that Russia agrees to cease fire in Ukraine.

John Kelly, who acts as a US representative in the United Nations, told the UN Security Council on Thursday that Russia and Ukraine “should agree on ceasefire and lasting peace.”

“It’s time to make a deal,” he said.

Ukrainian officials said on Friday that Kiev received “positive signals” about new potential sanctions, especially focused on Russian oil and secondary markets.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrei Sibikh stated that Trump was “generous and patient”, but “now it is time to make maximum pressure on Moscow.”

Meanwhile, in the coming days, Germany promised to deliver two additional air defense systems.

In July, Russia launched more than 5,100 sliding bombs, 3800 mad drones and 260 missiles, including 128 ballistic.

“It matters every day,” he said. “This can only be stopped by joint efforts – America, Europe and other global subjects.”
