President of Ukrainian Valodimir Zelensky dismissed President Donald Trump’s statements that Russia is serious about peace on Sunday.
Zelensky made A statement during an interview on ABC News this week with Martha Raddac. He claimed that Putin wants the war to continue, although Ukraine is still negotiating the ceasefire.
“With all the respect for President Trump, I think this is only his personal opinion,” Zelenkiya said when asked about Trump’s view of Putin. “Believe me, we understand that the Russians are much better, the Russians’ mentality than the Americans understand the Russians. I know for sure that Putin does not want to stop the war.”
He continued to push away to Trump’s analogy, similar to Russia-Ukraine war with two children fighting in the park.

“We do not play in the park with Russians like two boys, two children. Putin is not a child. So we cannot compare, and we cannot say well, let them fight for a short time,” Zelensky said, telling about the story of a Ukrainian man who lost his wife and three children to Missile blows.
“That’s why we are not children on the playground. Putin is a killer who came to the park to kill the children,” he added.
Trump gave Last week, an analogy during the German Chancellor Frederich Merz’s state visit to the oval office.

“Sometimes you see two young children fighting like crazy – they hate each other and they fight in the park and you try to pull them, they don’t want to pull them,” Trump said. “Sometimes you better let them go for a while and then pull them out.”
Trump said he gave this analogy to Putin last week and said he told the Kremlin chief “you might have to continue fighting and suffer a lot.”
