President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky canceled part of his first visit to South Africa after the attack on the rocket and drone on the capital of Ukraine Kiev.

Zelensky said in a report on X that he would return to Ukraine “immediately” after meeting with South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa as part of a trip to the growth of diplomatic efforts.

US President Donald Trump has accused the Ukrainian leader of peace talks on Wednesday after Zelensky said Kiev did not recognize Russian control over Crimea.
Ukraine has long said that it would not give up Crimea, the Southern Peninsula illegally annexed by Russia in 2014.
Trump claimed that the war cease was “very close”, but Zelensky’s refusal to accept our conditions, “besides not to continue” the conflict.
Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance outlined the US vision of the transaction, saying that “freezing the territorial lines (…) is close to where they are today.”
He said the transaction would mean that Ukraine and Russia “should abandon some territory they are currently” – without specifying what geographical concessions should be made.
Asked by reporters at the White House, the administration wants to recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea, Trump said he just wanted to see the end of the war.
Recognizing the illegal occupation of Crimea, not only politically impossible to accept Zelensky, but also contradict the post -war international legal norms that the border cannot be changed by force.
