Zach Bryan comes to the defense of his friends after they were allegedly attacked online after his split Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.

“All you f— in weird couch warriors attacking my friends and humiliating my friends on the internet because you assume I have a boyfriend that’s weird as hell and should be studied for science,” she wrote Bryan, 28, via a lengthy Instagram Story rant on Thursday, January 9. “Everybody’s wondering why I stop touring and don’t want to be associated with music anymore, meanwhile you demand my friends ugly and harassing them?”

Bryan added that he was not looking for “sympathy” but wanted to condemn the “low and despicable” actions of going after his friends.

“I probably (had) four different boyfriends in two weeks, meanwhile my friends and I are laughing and hanging out like we always do,” she wrote before explaining her current relationship status. “I don’t have a boyfriend and I don’t plan to have a boyfriend, but I have normal friends who I love very much and for whom I would go to the ends of the earth.”

More details are emerging regarding the unexpected breakup of Zach Bryan and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. “(Brianna) was blindsided by Zach being on dating apps and dating around while they had been in a committed relationship,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “Someone sent her Raya Zach’s profile and girls were reaching out for him dating (…)

Bryan continued his rant by urging others to “go give your attention and your time to the literal city burning down,” apparently referring to the ongoing fires in Los Angeles.

“Stop being so sad and fickle and childish through screens. Last thing I will ever say on this. Mad I even have to,” he wrote. “You don’t know me. You will never know me. Stop acting like you.”

The singer added that instead of attacking people in his inner circle, his critics should talk about him instead because he can handle it.

“I have love, laughter and good people in my life. No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and get me. I can take all the hate because I’m not a kid,” she wrote in a subsequent Instagram Story. “But don’t come for my friends who do nothing but love and care for me. Everyone wants you to have fun and make great music but you make it very hard to do that with my friends getting insulted and death threats every day.”

Bryan shared that he has “worked really hard” for his success, but the constant chatter on social media makes him want to stay out of the spotlight.

“Whether you think I deserve it or not. Whether you think I suck or not. Stop being such sad and fat internet sleuths to my friends,” he wrote. “We’re all human and I’m so tired of people thinking social media is a way to get the moral high ground on people they’ve NEVER met? I wonder if people aren’t human anymore because they can hide behind screens? A very strange man I have made.”

Bryan, in fact, was not done. He shared another note stating that he didn’t want others to give him tips on how to “handle something or things they’ve never dealt with” themselves.

“I lost my mother, I’ve been in war zones and I’ve fought all this fame for five years. Respectfully, I don’t need your unsolicited advice, I’m a grown man. I promise I can get through some little bullies on the internet,” he wrote. “I’m so terribly unfazed by the fake s – people say about me online but coming up for people I love and care for is my last straw.”

Literally, never wanted,” LaPaglia, 25, said during the Tuesday, October 22, episode of the “Talk Tuah” podcast, (…)

Bryan ended his rant by noting that he was “hopping” on social media “for a while.”

Bryan made headlines late last year following his dramatic breakup from LaPaglia, 25. In October 2024, Bryan shared that he and the Barstool Sports personality had called it quits after dating for more than a year. LaPaglia claimed that she was “blind” by the musician’s public announcement.

LaPaglia took a break from social media following the break, and Bryan has been laying low. A month after the split, LaPaglia returned to her “BFFs” podcast, where she gave a glimpse of its dynamic with Bryan who claimed she was “emotionally abused” by the musician. (Us Weekly reached out to Bryan’s team at the time and there was no response.)
