Yum Brands CEO says the company is “pretty isolated” from tariff troubles

In an interview on Wednesday with CNBC Jim Kramer. Brands Yum CEO David Gibbs claimed that the sweeping tariffs of President Donald Trump did not affect many campaign networks around the world.

“We have not seen any refusals related to the tariffs in any market in which we work,” GBBBS said. “We know, tariffs do not affect tariffs, because most of our supply chains are usually in the country. Thus, our model is quite isolated from what is happening now.”

Yum Brands has a number of basic fast food franchise, including KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. It posted a mixed quarter on Wednesday when sales in the Pizza Hut store came lower than expected, but Taco Bell won the estimates. The action managed to finish the session by 1.86%.
