Youtuber Ruby Franke and a life coach friend Jodi Hildebrandt Arrested and charged for abuse of felony children – but where are they now?
Ruby and her husband Kevin Franke Their 8 passenger channels were started In 2015. Initially, their content included the couple and their six children before Ruby’s friend, Hildebrandt, came into the picture. Ultimately, Ruby and Hildebrandt rebranded into mothers of truth to share more faith-based content.
Ruby and Hildebrandt were arrested and charged On six counts in 2023. The arrest came after Ruby’s youngest son, who was 12 years old, escaped from Hildebrandt’s home and asked for help from a neighbor. Authorities noticed that the child suffered from malnutrition and had a duct tape on his ankles and wrists.
In December 2023, Ruby pleaded guilty to four charges of abusing children and admitted torturing her children. As part of his plea deal he agreed to serve a prison term and that Her sentences would run in a row. He also agreed to testify against Hildebrandt, who pleaded guilty.

Ruby and Hildebrandt became friends in 2019 after connecting through their church. From there, Ruby and Kevin started going to Connexions classes, but their marriage fell apart afterwards. Ruby and Hildebrandt started with Ruby’s children until they were arrested.

Mega themegaagency.com (2)In 2023, Ruby’s son escaped at the time, escaped the residence of Hildebrandt in August 2023 and had a neighbor to call the police for his empty state. Ruby and Hildebrandt were arrested and charged with six counts of abusive childhood.
Ruby and Hildebrandt pleaded guilty to four charges of abusive children’s mistrust and were sentenced to between 4 and 60 years in prison. They will not serve more than 30 years because of the Utah law relating to consecutive sentences.

Moms of Truth/InstagramAfter being separated for more than a year before her arrest, Kevin filed for a divorce from Ruby and filed for custody in 2023. A judge signed on Ruby and Kevin’s divorce in March 2025 after receiving their children’s custody before.
Kevin agreed to consider any child maintenance owed by Ruby paid. In the meantime, Ruby was ordered not to come into contact with the children. He also asked to keep Franke’s last name instead of returning to her pre -marriage name.
The Exes agreed to transfer their home in Springville to Kevin, as well as properties in Scofield, Carbon County. Ruby will keep the $ 85,000 he withdrew from their financial accounts but the remaining shared money – outside an investment account under Ruby’s name – will be given completely to Kevin.
Kevin and Ruby did not ask for alimony from each other.

Moms of Truth/InstagramRuby is currently a sentence of 4 to 30 years in the corrective convenience of the Utah province in Salt Lake City. She will not appear before the Utah pardon and parole board – which determines the exact length of her sentence – until December 2026. The same applies to Hildebrandt, which also casts her sentence in the Utah State Correction Facility.
YouTube has banned Ruby and Hildebrandt and removed the channels associated with their names. The Hildebrandt counseling license was frozen following their arrest.

YoutubeIn a recording of Ruby’s call From prison released months after she was arrested, her tune changed for Hildebrandt, saying, “This was the strange and most miraculous interference. She gave everyone where they needed to be. She separated me from Jodi so I don’t hear her. I think I’m not hearing her have cleared many things for me.”
The sound of the Hildebrandt prison was also recorded, where he defended himself and said that Ruby’s son “did so by himself” when discussing his extensive injuries.

Hulu released Docuseries-Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke-in February 2025 with ex-husband Ruby and two eldest children found in the series.
That same month, Ruby and Hildebrandt’s research discovery was subject to their curious case series. Subsequently, the network produced Ruby & Jodi: a cult of sin and influence, released in September 2025.
