Dawson deserves his call based on his performances: Michael Atherton

Speaking of the dismissal of Yasasvi Jaiswal, at Liam Dawson, Ian Ward greeted England to get a wicket in the 7th ball in his comeback game.

“This is a moment and a wicket that Liam Dawson had almost resigned. Not long ago, he said that the Cricket test game was not on his radar,” added former England test player Ian Ward.

“(He) was absolutely happy with what he was doing for Hampshire on the Franchise Cricket, but this injury to Shoaib Bashir gave him another opportunity in the trial game cricket, and he started very well, a wick with the seventh ball.”

Meanwhile, former England, Michael Atherton, said that Liam Dawson deserved the call from England. Said:

“Dawson deserves his call based on his performances and numbers in the domestic game. He adds a little depth and he has a lot of wisdom and knowledge with his left turn.”
