Mandatory Wbo Xander Zayas is confident that he will get a title shot against WBC champion and Wbo Junior Middleweight, Sebastian Fundora, Next. The Zayas, 22 (21-0, 13 kos), already has its senior Sparring members installed in the camp to help him train for the founder of 6’5 1/2 “(22-1-1, 14 kos).
Fundora’s promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz, has not yet said whether they will get the fight against Zayas or will focus on fighting unification. Lewkowicz said last Saturday night that Xander is young enough where you can afford to wait.
“At 22 First range boxingOn his hope of fighting the WBC champion and the Wbo, Junior Middleweight, Sebastian Fundora.
Interestingly, Top Rank has positioned Zayas to fight Fundora for her Wbo belt instead of directing to the direction of the IBF Bakhram Murtazaliev champion. They obviously know that Zayas’ lack of power would put him at Bakhram mercy, which would be chopped.
In addition, IBF would not make it easier for Zayas to become mandatory in the way Wbo. It was expected to fight someone like Yoeniz Tellez, and probably would not do well against this type. The WBO gave green light for Xander to face Slowa Spomer in a title eliminator. It was like the Wbo giving Zayas the mandatory position on a silver dish without him needing to work for it.
It is good for him, but he is also bad because he is not willing to fight for a world title against Fundora because his opposition has been so poor all his career. When the promoters bend back to make a fighter for marketing reasons, they are not fully prepared when they finally fight for a world title, unless the champion is poor.
“He is a high fighter, but if we look at his fights, he does not know how to fight outside. He has a flat foot. He does not have the best feet. He is a warrior and he knows how to fight, but I only feel that I can take advantage of many things.” From him, “Zayas continued.
“We already have the Sparring partners configured for this camp. So we already have an idea of who we are wearing. We are in conversation to make a title title. This is the struggle (hopefully) that happens below. Hopefully, I get my title in the summer and bring this championship to Puerto Rico.”
There is little chance that Sebastian Fundora agrees to defend his titles in Puerto Rico against Zayas, unless he goes to the bag and gain gain. However, no matter. Fundora will be a nightmare for the Xander, regardless of where the struggle is made and the judges will not have the opportunity to set the struggle.
Zayas does not have the power or experience to defeat a fighter as a founder. The first rank has kept a scores under protection since he became a professional and combined him against the second level opposition to “develop it”, but the disadvantage is that he is not ready for top-notch fighters.
The things that worked for a tracksuit against fighters such as Slowa Spomer will not be effective against Fundora, and it does not matter that he has many tall members who lined up for the training camp. They will not have the type of talent that hell ‘towering hell has because, if they did, they would not work as Sparring partners.
