WWE’s Seth Rollins Opens Up About Captain America 4 Reshoots

If you go in the next month Captain America: Brave New World hoping to see Anthony Mackie duke with Seth Rollins, the WWE wrestler said you should leave your expectations to the ticket purchase app.

In a recent interview with Chris Van ViletRollins said he will not appear in the film. Back in 2023was shown on set, leading fans to speculate that he was playing a member of the Serpent Society. Marvel never formally confirmed his casting, and Rollins was vague about who he had been. Uncertain about his NDA, all he could say was Brave New World’s script “went through a lot of rewriting and shooting. (…) Essentially my role was re-proposed or completely deleted”. He also auditioned for another role, or a potential “repurposing” of his original part, but neither option was realized.

“I say unequivocally that I’m not in the movie,” he continued. Rollins really was a lot insisting on leaving his fans, and told Van Vilet that he didn’t want the fans to think he was pulling a Andrew Garfield. “I don’t want these people to waste their time, and I don’t want to misinform anyone. (…) “They ended up going in a different direction with her. Marvel knows they have a finished product that I hope they’re happy with, and I hope it’s successful. But (Brave New World) will be without Seth Rollins. Marvel does a great job, it should be a good one.

Beyond the nixing Rollins part, Brave New World’s the disrupted production has been quite well known. Its release date has been he shuffled around a few times, and his production was on break once the Hollywood hits started. After those finished, the film underwent several reshoots and rewrites, allegedly due to negative tests. Initial reports claimed that three “major sequences” were cut in filming, but Anthony Mackie has since described them as only “a few more scenes.”

It’s not the first Marvel movie to have its shooting known, but its mishaps (and the cultural background around Sabraone of his key supporting characters) have been hanging around the film longer than normal. We will see how Captain America: Brave New World finally, the rates when it arrives in theaters on Valentine’s Day.
