President Trump is not ashamed to defend Christianity. His bold commitment to the protection of Christians from persecution is one of the reasons that most evangelists voted for him in three direct elections. Although I am grateful for his strong position for religious freedom, I am concerned about the latest actions of his administration that threaten Afghan Christians Before the dedication of “immediately” or face criminal prosecution, fines and deportation-to the Taliban regime who can kill them for faith in Jesus.
Recently many Afghan Christians who were Legally allowed In order to enter the United States living and legally working in communities throughout the United States, they received letters with a sharp message: “Time to leave the United States.” The message insists that the Internal Security Department “stops your parole”, a legal mechanism that allows these people to be safely in the US. “Do not try to stay in the US – the federal government will find you … immediately go to the US,” the letter lies.
Similar letters were obviously sent to hundreds of thousands of others that have entered the US in recent years. But no case is as disturbing as Afghan ChristiansTo whom the deportation will probably mean martyrdom. Open doors pursued by the churches are classified by Afghanistan as the ten most dangerous countries for Christians. The situation with Christians deteriorated after the Biden administration was led by the Taliban in power.
Trump administration ends the temporary protected status for thousands of Afghans amid deportation
Of course, President Trump himself certainly did not develop this letter, and I suspect he was sent so widely to the leaders in the Department of Internal Security, without the complete consequences. As the administration hears from conservative evangelical leaders such as Franklin Graham, I pray that President Trump cancels the one who has decided to send these letters and allow Afghan Christians to remain legally in the US. At least long enough to submit and get a fair decision on refuge queries, or until Congress will bring the law on the adjustment of Afghanistan, the bill headed by Senator Lindsey Graham, which would allow the Afghan conventional exemption to submit an application.
Of course, President Trump is absolutely right to prioritize border security priorities, and most evangelical Christians are grateful for the rapid progress he has made to ensure our borders. Similarly, almost all gospel Christians are advised that immigrants are convicted of severe crimes deported.
But the evangelists also agree with President Trump if he is concerned Legal immigration People who come “with love for the country.” Afghans and others denied religious freedom abroad, love this country deeply – and, of course, it is impossible to expel it now. Similarly, gospel Christians want the US to keep its doors open, to carefully check, legally recognized refugees, including Christians from countries such as Afghanistan and Iran, who have faced persecution or even martyrdom in their repressive countries of origin. Last year, approximately 30,000 Christian refugees were relocated from fifty countries where the door was open, they say Christians face the most harsh persecution in the world.

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), my denomination, has repeatedly confirmed the biblical call for refugees who are people who legally accepted in the US after escaping well -founded persecution for reasons as their religion, race or political opinion. Seven out of ten gospel Christians, including about two-thirds of those who voted for President Trump last November, tells Lifeway Research, a SBC research hand that they believe that the US is moral responsibility for receiving refugees. As President Trump completes a 90-day review of refugee relocation, almost 20,000 Christians, including a number of well-known evangelical leaders, confirmed a statement calling for reassembling refugees, with a particular concern for faith in Jesus.

Of course, as Christians, we confirm the dignity of all people made in the image of God, not only Christians, so we are also concerned about the well -being of those who risk pursuing who are not Christians. But it turns out that most of the refugees who have moved in recent years were indeed Christians, since about four of the five of the deportation are now.
I know that President Trump honors legal immigration and is a champion for persecuted Christians. I hope and pray that he can listen to the gospel voters, abolish the actions of excessive employees and protect the Afghans and others who were persecuted for faith in Jesus.
