Wild Life Ozi Osbourne, Rock “Prince of Dark”

Ozzy Osbourne, who died at the age of 76, helped create a sound that became known as Heavy -metal -and, besides, the frontman practically came up with the image of wild rock.

The band Ozzy Black Sabbath made a non -malicious sign of music, pioneer hewi -metal – and was recognized as the main influence of a number of artists who followed them.

With his vocal vocal style and reputation “Prince of Dark”, Ozi forced the group to become global stars – before he was fired mostly with increasing drug addiction and alcohol.

But he cut a successful solo career before reuniting the band, and also became a unlikely star hit -tellerating reality, showing him the wrong home life.

On December 3, 1948, he was born John Michael Osbourne in the Astana area in Birmingham. His father Jack was a product manufacturer and his mother Lilian worked at the Lucas plant, which made car components.

He took the nickname Ozi in elementary school and she was stuck.

In addition to gifts, his nickname, the school was a gloomy experience for the young Osbourne. He suffered from dyslexia and what can now be called a disorder of attention hyperactivity (ADHD).

He left 15 and wandered in a number of dead -end jobs, including some time spent at the meat -packing plant, which allowed him to play practical jokes in the pubs, putting eyeballs of cows into pint people.

He even turned his hand into the crime, but found that he also had little good luck. He fell on his TV when he called on the house, and later he spent six weeks in Birmingham prison in Vinstan -Grin after robbery of the clothing store.

He was rescued by music: the sound of “Beatles”, which she loves you from the crack of transistor radio, turned his life.

“It was such an incredible explosion of happiness and hope,” he later told writer Brian Apple. “I used to dreamed – wouldn’t it be great if Paul McCartney married my sister.”

He persuaded his father to buy him a microphone and amplifier, and together with his friend Terry “Jisser” Batler created a band called “Rare breed” – which lasted only two performances.

The couple became part of a blues outfit called Polka Tulk Blues, later renamed the ground with guitarist Tony and drummer Bill Ward.

The band, the intention to create what they called “terrible music”, rehearsed in the room opposite local cinema – where the screening of the 1963 movie Black Sabbath gave birth to the band’s name and the first blow.

“I didn’t come up with such music,” Ozi reminded later. “When I look back on this song, Black Sabbath, I think, how I even started thinking about such a tune?”

The song, written by Osbourne and Butler, opened her debut album in 1970, which, despite the fact that he performed on music critics, reached eight in the UK charts and number 23 in the United States.

Further success took place with a number of best -selling albums, including paranoid, a master of reality and volume 4, which sold more than a million copies.

As long as the band released the Saturday bloody Saturday in 1973, even critics began to gain praise.

One writer called it a “masterpiece” and continued to say that he thought the band had discovered a new sense of sophistication and maturity.

The 1975 album Sabotage also received critical praise, but so far the band began to unravel, and Black Saturday was destined to lose strength.

Osbourne has already begun to succumb to the drink and drugs that could rule over his life. Its unreliability became legendary and began to participate in Black Saturday members.

Family life was also under tension, with its dependencies, affairs and frequent tours, which endanger his relationship with his wife Telma and their two children. The couple would later share.

Osbourne always covered his uncertainty, acting as a clown of the group, but so far his antics have seriously interfered with the development of the Sabbath.

His relationship with Iommi was never smooth, and Ozi began to resent what the guitarist’s domination was in the band.

In 1978, he spent three months, working on a solo project called Blizzard OZZ, but returned on Saturday to record an album that would never tell Die.

After the unsuccessful excursion, Osbourne was fired by other Saturday members based on his drug abuse by replacing Ronnie James Dio.

Later, Osbourne claimed that his dismissal was unfair, arguing: “We were all as bad as each other.”

The problem was that Ozzy was not so good in handing over the impact of many substances in which the whole strip was given.

It has risen Blizzard OZZ with the help of Sharon Orden, daughter of Black Saturday leader Don Orden. Later, the couple will marry and continue up to three children – Amy, Kelly and Jack.

She also tried to help him control the consumption of drinks and drugs. There were periods when he seemed to have kicked his dependence – but he often fell off the wagon.

“If it wasn’t for Sharon,” he later said Appleyard, “I’ll be dead.”

The controversy has never been far away. The most famous incident was the biting of the head of the live bat, being on stage in Iowa in 1982. He catapult raw meat into the audience on the tour, which pushed fans to throw things on stage in return. He claims he thought the bit was false before he bit.

He did not try to use the same justification for the two pigeons whose heads he bitten during a meeting with Leiblat last year.

His other exploits included arrest for urination on the monument to the Texas War of Alam, wearing one of Sharon’s dresses; throw out of the Dahau concentration camp for being drunk and disorder during a visit during a German round; pulling a gun on a black sabbatical drummer while in poor acid; Black and waking up in the central reservation of the 12-footway; And pressing the residents of their chicken coop with a gun, a sword and gasoline, putting a dress for dressing and steam.

It all added to Ozi’s legend, but in fact most of his behavior was not very attractive and glamorous. He was a crash, and drinks and drugs gave him an individual and a heide.

In 1989, he woke up in prison, saying he had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder for strangling Sharon. He couldn’t remember anything about it. She threw the allegations.

Meanwhile, his first solo album passed the dam, and the following actions “Diary of Crazy” and “Kara” on the moon were also bestsellers.

It widely toured during the 1980s and 90s, and also achieved huge commercial success with Ozzfest -a series of tours, mostly in the US, which featured bands in all metals.

Osbourne made the headline of most festivals, and even his former Black Sabbath teammates performed.

Then, in 2002, he and his family were catapult to a new form of glory when they were unwittingly plues in realistic television when the cameras seized a disturbed (but affectionate) dysfunction of their home life.

However, he had other health problems. At first, he thought the trembling in his hands was the result of his life. But in 2007, it was a diagonated condition called Parkinson Syndrome, then in 2019 with Parkinson’s disease.

In the same year, he damaged the spine in the late night, which deteriorated the injury he suffered as a result of the four -year accident. Repeated operations have had limited success.

But he was determined to worship the public with a regular blow.

He, Sharon and his old Black Saturday, lined up at a farewell concert at the Villa Park football stadium, at Kin with a childhood house, which took place just over two weeks ago.
