The director of England, Sarina Wiegman, greeted the “incredible answer” from his side when the lions bounced off the defeat in the early match of the Euro 2025 with a 4-0 dominant victory over the Netherlands.
Lauren James Brace, Georgia Stanway Strike and she Toone Finale stated that England’s hopes to defend the crown they won by 2022 remained alive with a scandal result in Zurich.
Against the country of his birth, Wiegman dominated a much improved performance than he was 2-1 loss in France on Saturday.

The defeat against his hometown would have meant almost certainly that Wiegman would move further in the tournament. As it is, the result gives an important impetus to England’s possibilities to describe itself as the so-called “death group”.

Asked about the victory the most, Wiegman said the BBC: “The team’s response after the France game. How we joined and how we played on the pitch.
“I am very happy with the score because it is a mass help and the goal difference can make a big difference.
“The execution of the play plan really helped. We did very well and I’m very proud of the team.
“We are not yet there, but this is an incredible answer.”
Although Lionessa’s head was excited about the result, he admitted that such a resounding score was not something he thought would happen.
“I would not expect 4-0. Absolutely not,” Wiegman said.
“First of all you want to win and you have to win. When you win more than two goals, you are in the best position in the Wales game. So, yes, all very well tonight.”
England takes Wales on Sunday in St Gallen, with the start of 20:00 in the United Kingdom.
