Wiaan Mulder reveals Brian Lara’s reaction after Proteas Star chose not to break the 400 record

South African All-Rounder Wiaan Mulder has opened a sincere conversation with the legend of the western Indies Brian Lara After its 367 record break, not in the second test against Zimbabwe to Bulawayo. Lara also expressed her hope that if Mulder would be in a similar position again, he would push forwards and intend to overcome Lara’s own reference point once fixed.

“I have talked a little to Brian Lara. He told me that I am creating my own legacy and that I should have been looking for me. He said that the records are broken and that he wants if I am again in this position, I mark more than I had.” Declared Mulder.

Mulder added that he did not regret his decision to testify. He described the entries as incredibly special, beyond what he had ever imagined. Reflecting on Lara’s perspective, he acknowledged it as interesting, but he stood with his choice, emphasizing that respecting the game remained the most important principle for him.

“It’s very special and not something I would have dreamed of. This was an interesting point of view from your side, but I still think I’ve done the right thing and respect the game is the most important part for me.” Mulder added more.
