Turki Alralikh praised Shakur Stevenson today on social media for giving the fans what they wanted to see in their victory over William Zepeda on Saturday night in Queens, New York. Called it to “Great Fight”, To say that Shakur is “more respected than ever.”
Morrell vs. Khataev: Fight Real
It was not a great struggle. The gold standard for “Great Fight” was the shock David Morrell vs. Imam Khataev on the card last Saturday at Louis Armstrong Stadium. This struggle was much more entertaining to look than watching Stevenson fixed on the ropes all night, trying to block shots and hit the body with punches without stopping Zepeda.
Turki did not mention the wide scores that were the three judges for the struggle of Shakur vs. Zepeda. Should have said something about those because they gave a fake picture That Stevenson (24-0, 11 kos) had won in a 12-0 decision.
Here are the horrible scores of the judges:
118-110 = 10-2
118-110
119-109: 11-1
How did a judge could only give Zepeda (33-1, 27 kos) a round in the whole fight and the other two only two rounds? This looks like Zepeda never had a chance in the way these three marked the struggle.
I saw the struggle and had Zepeda throwing a stop. Stevenson trapped the whole fight, injured him on the third and hit him from head to toe with shots. It was like a fist bag for Zepeda.
The judges did not give Zepeda any credit to throw away body shots. This was the difference in the fight. Only Stevenson’s head focused, which were rare and much higher by the body puncturing Zepeda.
Very happy Shakur got a great fight. Shakur gave the fans what they wanted to see and now it is more respected than ever. And with respect to Zepeda. He has a bright future and showed that he is a dangerous fighter. 🥊⭐️🔥 pic.twitter.com/37vxvz3znx
