The story of the Handmaid Virgin surprised Serena with that disclosure for Josh Charles‘Wharton Character Manager – But really it’s not supposed to be a shock.

The news left their marriage, arrived at Wharton home and that’s where everything fell apart when Serena introduced her handmaiden.
Serena broke down in tears as she realized that Wharton was just like the rest of the commanders in Gilead. His commitment to the traditional roles in Gilead came as a shock to Serena – but all the signs were there.
“Commander Wharton, I feel he has been very consistent all over. He hasn’t been pulling the wool over Serena’s eyes. He has been very sincere about how he feels,” Coshowrunner Yahlin Chang she was told only Weekly US For the time collection to Serena’s wedding night. “So Serena’s response is amazingly confused.”
As Serena and Wharton argued for their different views, their marriage seemed to strike a barrier that they could not move on from. Serena tried to leave with her son – and Wharton stopped her briefly. But Serena refused to be caught against her will at Wharton’s home, so she eventually complied as her future was left in the air.
“Josh Charles was a dream to work with and he was so thoughtful and insightful about the character. But the thing about Wharton is, I feel like from the outset, he has shown who he is,” Chang noted. “He was very sincere with his feelings over Serena and his desire to have a big family.”
According to Chang, Wharton could not have been more Clearly, adding, “Because of his love and lust for Serena, he really tried to open his mind and be lodging. He is a very Conservative guy, but said, ‘I want you to still write. I want you to do all these things.'” “
The split in the newest episode became likely -communicating between the fictional pair.
“It’s mature enough to know that that is the woman he has fallen in love with. Serena is a force that should be considered – and that is part of why he is in love with her. “I have so much fun writing villains because it is completely different to see the world from their point of view. They act very consistently with their beliefs. With Serena, we wanted to create the ideal man for her, someone who was not an ex-husband for her,” he noted. “We wanted someone who was still really afraid of God, really religious and those are all things that Wharton. Also someone who was really right with his writing and doing all his reformist political activism. He was right with all that.

“We were afraid of him because he had these dreadful moments. Josh was so insightful for lading out those dreadful moments. You only see it once or twice – and when you make it so terrible. Josh was the one who made those choices about when to show it more dreadful,” Chang told Chang to Chang to Chang Us. “He doesn’t crack all the time. He is rarely cracking, rarely. That was the brightness of his performance because you see it once and then you are like, ‘That could happen at any time.’ That unpredictability and control of himself is so dreadful.
Chang concluded: “With Serena, one way we’ve wanted to keep the characters realistically is that she’s a person who takes one step forward and two steps ago. She feels bad for what she has done in the past. She tries to redeem herself but Serena goes to Serena. She is still having an ego and she is still a believer and she believes.
