Alexa Penavega and Carlos Penavega Having traded an island life for one in the country – in Nashville, that is.
“This community has been unreal,” said Alexa, 36, on a chapter on Thursday, May 15, East Shawn Johnson and husband Andrew’s East‘s eponymous podcast. “We (a) had a good community on Maui, but we hadn’t been back since the fire … and it was a little too dangerous to go back.”
Alexa and Carlos moved, 35 their family of five – They share the sons of Ocean, 8, and Kingston, 5, and his daughter Rio, 3 – to Hawaii in 2020.
“Basically we got stuck there for two years,” Carlos remembered. “It was fine, but they were fining people wanting to be on the beach. I was like, ‘Why can’t I go there? There’s no one there.’
Carlos Penavega and Alexa Penavega are committed to being fully equal in their partnership – and have changed their names to experience. Previously, actress Spy Kids was married to Sean Covel between 2010 and 2012 before moving on with the Alum Nickelodeon the following year. Carlos popped the question in September 2013 (…)
According to singer Rush big time, he and Alexa were “exhausted” of ways to stay entertaining on the island. Then they lived briefly with their children on Multi-cabin sailing boat.
“I really started, really watching (sailing videos on YouTube) and I was like, ‘We’re buying a boat and we’re coming out of here and we’re going to sail the world,’” Carlos remembered. “We ended up finding out how to buy this Catamaran, and we set it for two years. We never left the dock.”
Alexa, Carlos and their children lived on the full -time boat during the renewal process.
“We will never do that again,” quoted Carlos, noting that the building prices are “absurd” compared to those for building a house on land. “He arrived at a point where he was, like, ridiculous. I was like, ‘Okay, now we had to fix this.”
He added, “We live on the boat, we continue to repair it – we never leave the dock, but it’s fun. You save money on taxes, but we’re still going back between Hawaii and Florida, and then the fires happen.”
Pregnant Alexa Penavega and her husband Carlos Penavega expect baby No. 4, but their marriage has not always been full of bliss. “I’ve always told people, I’m like, ‘The truth is marriage is this beautiful, holy thing. “She was right, obviously,” quoted Carlos. “One day, we were praying, and it felt like God was calling us to come and look at Tennessee. We go when God calls us, like, quickly.”
Carlos and Alexa moved to Nashville in early 2024, finding property from his former love and current Realtor, Cassie Long.
“She’s also a very good friend for me,” Alexa turned in. “We became friends When I was filming out here, but she’s still a great Realtor. “
Now that Carlos and Alexa have officially moved houses, they are far into the decoration period.
