India and England players were seen with black weapons in tribute to the old Indian Dilip Doshi spinner, who sadly died on June 23, in Headingley on the 5th of the first ongoing test of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy on Tuesday, June 24.
Dilip Doshi was one of the best left spinners in India and represented El PaĆs in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. To pay tribute to Doshi’s contributions to the Indian cricket, both the teams in England and India joined to respect the legend of Headingley.
Before the game began on the 5th, a minute of silence was observed in memory of Doshi in the High Participation Testing match at Headingley. In addition, it was seen that the players of both teams and the game’s officers wore black weapons to pay tribute to Doshi.
