“I’ve been at the moment, and there are times when I’ve won, not won, without winning, he should have won,” he continued. “Man gives the reward, God gives the reward. I’m not interested in Oscars. People say, ‘Well, where do you keep it?’ I say, ‘beside the other.’ “
“I’m not exploding,” he concluded. “I tell you how I feel about it. On my last day, it’s not going to do a little good for me.”
Washington has 10 Oscar nominations in his career, which dates back to his best supporting actor nomination in 1988 for Cry. His two wins came in 1990 for Glory (Best Supportive Actor) and 2002 for Day (Best actor).

“Are you fierce? Awww. Oh, I’m so upset,” he said. “I’m happy for everyone who did, and I’m happy with what I do.”
Washington does not just reduce his rewards, he Destrict the exact idea of being a Hollywood actor.
“What is the definition of Hollywood actor?” Said during appearance in March CBS Sunday morning. “I’m, I’m from Mount Vernon, so I’m ‘Mount Vernon actor.’ I do not know what ‘Hollywood’ means.
He added that he does not even consider himself a film actor after being started in the theater.
“I’m a stage actor who is filming; not the other way,” said Washington. “I staged first. I learned how to act on stage, not on film. Films are a filmmaker. You shoot it, and then you’re gone, and they break together and add music and do it all. Theater is an actor. The curtain goes up, no one can help you.”
