“Ben was speaking to the police who are in his neighborhood at the moment because he lives outside a mandatory evacuation zone,” says a source with knowledge of the situation. Los Angeles, where the 52-year-old actor lives, is currently under a series of evacuation orders amid the ongoing string of devastating wildfires. Affleck was seen speaking with law enforcement officers from the Los Angeles Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation outside his home in Brentwood, California on Sunday, January 12, per a photo published by TMZ.

The The FBI has also denied that Affleck is in any legal trouble. The Bureau was recently investigating drone activity in the actor’s neighborhood.

Affleck and Lopez reconnect in 2021 two decades after they called off their original engagement. Affleck proposed the following year and they married in July 2023, renewing their vows the following month. Lopez filed for divorce on their second anniversary.
