I’m Still Here Fernanda Torres won the trophy for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama during a ceremony on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
“My god, I didn’t prepare anything … This is such an amazing year for female performances, so many actresses here that I admire so much,” Torres, 59, said during her acceptance speechwhile dedicating the award to her mother. “You have no idea, she was here 25 years ago and this is, like, proof that art can continue.”
It was five other nominees in the category, incl Pamela Anderson for The Last Showgirl, Angelina Jolie for Maria, Nicole Kidman for baby girl, Tilda Swinton for The Room Next Door a Kate Winslet for Lee.

For her part, Jolie, 49, already had three wins under her belt for George Wallace in 1998, Family in 1999 and Girl, Interrupt in 2000. Before the 2025 ceremony, Swinton, 64, received three previous nods for The Deep End in 2002, Michael Clayton in 2008 and We need to talk about Kevin in 2012.
As for Anderson, 57, and Torres, 59, this year was their first ever Golden Globes nominations.
