The former -Mumbai Indians, Rahul Chahar, made a huge statement on Hardik Pandya as Captain of Rohit Sharma for the IPL 2024. Chahar emphasized that leadership changes are part of a team’s trip, adding that players should give the best on the side, regardless of who the Captain is.
Hardik Pandya was appointed captain of the Mumbai Indians before IPL 2024. All he did was take care of Rohit Sharma. However, the movement led to the displeasure between Rohit fans, with Pandya facing Boos and hostility through places, including the house, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Pandya, who had previously captured the Titans of Gujarat in 2022 and in 2023, returned to me through a trade of € 15 of € 15. To get worse, the team ended at the bottom of the point table.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Rahul Chahar emphasized that leadership decisions depend on the player’s connection with the franchise. He added that internal changes should not affect the performance in the field.
“Life continues. All teams will have their time, there will be new captains. We cannot say anything like this. This is their connection and who want to make the captain. But I think what you do for the team is important,” said Chahar.
“Even as a player, Rohit is great. It is perfect unless you have no need for someone. I think this is what you wanted, which provides your 100% and should not see anything on anyone’s face. Not only me, whether it is a team,” he added.
Chahar represented the Mumbai Indians for three seasons, from 2019 to 2021. He won the IPL title twice with the Mumbai Indians, in 2019 and in 2020. He played 39 games and took 41 doctors for the franchise.
Rahul Chahar played under Rohit Sharma in Mumbai Indians. Chahar praised Rohit for his leadership and soothing presence. He stated that Rohit’s confidence and mood helped him to be composed under pressure.
“The way he gives confidence, I think he is very important. A leader who trusts a player is very important. I remember the moments when he looks at me and feels that I am under pressure, I would put his arms on his shoulder and tell me random things, not just about the cricket, something like being cold. It’s very cold,” said Chahar.
The leg of the legs recalled a moment of the IPL 2020 when it had a hard exit against Delhi capitals, granting 35 runs in two points without a wicket. However, Mumbai Indians won the game for 57 runs.
Chahar said Rohit Sharma told him not to stay in a single bad game and urged him to lead the team confidently.
“An incident I can’t forget. We had a semifinal against Delhi in 2020. I went for 30 runs or something of two points.
Chahar debuted international in a T20I against the western Indies in 2019 under Kohli. However, he played only a hatred and six T20is, with his last international departure in 2021.
Chahar played at IPL 2025 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The leg spinner appeared in a single game, which was against his former team, the Mumbai Indians.
