Team Allen‘S. Moving gears had several high-profile guest stars The white lotus Alum makes showwrunner Michelle Nader Want to bring them on board?
“A couple of people tell us (they want to join the show). I can’t tell who and we wonder how to get the right role. But we also have our people we want to see,” shared Nader during a unique interview with Weekly US At the ABC Summer Soirée on September 5. “I want Jennifer Coolidge in the show. I want to get some of those people to come around. We have a lot up our sleeve.”
Nader went on to suggest that viewers in for some unexpected things – especially for Easter eggs on screen.
“We were very deliberate about those things because what we want to do in modern comedy is to bring modern TV elements – such as seriesing and streaming,” he explained. “So we felt like we really wanted to slow these relationships in a romantic comedy way. So yes, you’re going to see some real results of those Easter eggs.”
The popular series, which performed for the first time in January, placed in a car recovery shop Opened by Allen’s character, Matt. After reuniting with his disengaged daughter, Riley (Kat Dennings), the duo works on cars – and repairs their relationship. As well as having a full house, Allen, 72, can also cross paths with characters played by celebrities including Jenna Elfman, Brenda’s Song and Nancy Travis.

Fabio Lovino/HBO“I’ve worked with a team before on film, so I know it’s lovely. It’s so good for what he does,” said Elfman, 53, who plays love interest on the Allen screen, Us in February. “It’s like you don’t even see it happen, and then suddenly, it’s great.”
Elfman praised the show’s vision. “I was delighted (s) undertaken how to go to the family in the middle (mobile gears) and the generation shares culturally, politically and emotionally. It’s a sitting comedy but it’s based on talent who knows how to act and who knows how to achieve comedy,” he added. “At the same time, the writing really supports that too. Everything felt right for me to come to play, and I’m so glad I did that because I’ve had a really good time. We’ve just finished filming the last episode last night, and it’s so good.”
Travis, 63, had a similar experience while Reunite with her former Last man standing Husband.
“Tim is nothing if not loyal. So it was great to walk on that set and see that most of the crew of the last man stood,” Travis told us the same month. “I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone from the last man stood appeared on moving gears in one way or another. If Tim has his way, he’ll make sure everyone from (Costar Kat Dennings’) 2 has broken women coming on too.”
Mobile gears Returns to ABC on Wednesday, October 1, at 8 pm ET before streaming the next day on Hulu.
