Premier League Liverpool and Premier League Arsenal champion will join Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham as six English teams in the draw.

When is the drawing of the Champions League phase?
The draw will take place on Thursday, August 28: a day after Play-On links end to decide the last teams to qualify.
The draw ceremony will begin at 17:00 BST / 12:00 ET / 09:00 pt.

The draw will be displayed live and free Uefa.comas well as to UEFA’s YouTube Channel and BBC Sport website and iPlayer.
TNT Sports will also broadcast the draw through Discovery+ and YouTube.
Format of the Champions League
In a change in the previous group phase format made until 2023/24, each team now plays eight games in the league phase, all against different opponents.
Four of these parties will be home and four away, with the opponents determined according to four sowing pots divided by rankings.
The teams will play two opponents from each of these jars: one against one team from each house pot and another. The results decide the global classification in a league.
The first eight sides of the table are automatically ranked for the 16 round. The teams ending from ninth to 24 will compete in a two-legged play-off to reach the last 16.
Teams that finish the 25th or lower are outside Europe for the season.

English teams in the Champions League: Why are there six clubs?
Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle were classified as the first five teams in the Premier League.
There were five places for English teams because additional positions are granted based on the UEFA co-effective rankings, which are based on the general performances of nations in European competition for a season.

When is the Champions League final?
The final will take place on May 30, 2026 at the Puskas Arena de Budapest, which opened in 2019 and is the home of the National Hungary National Team.
