“Her character – and fans of the show – is difficult. This was an opportunity to let JJ’s guard down. Obviously she has to be strong for her family but you really get to see that fragile side of her,” he continued. “She has had a chance to have great things to do and I’m glad people can see that.”

Rodriguez praised Criminal thoughts For being a good place to work, adding, “We love to be there. This is such a dreamy job. It’s such a great place to showcase and go to work every day. Nobody wants it to be over and no one wants to leave. So hopefully we’ll get the show for a long time.”

He continued: “Hopefully no one is sacrificed for good TV and we find some other people that we can build enough merit. It will finish that purpose this year. But I think it brings something else to the show that fans can enjoy and suffer with us.”
