Prime Minister Mark Karnya met with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday on Tuesday and once again stressed that Canada is “not for sale” when the president raised the prospect of becoming a 51st state.
Last month, Carney won the election, promising to “stand up” Trump, which imposed tariffs on some Canadian products and sometimes talks about the country’s accession.
