West Ham Women History with Kit Kit

West Ham United’s women have broken a new ground, becoming the first English football team to have a period-proof of the official kit.

In a reference movement for the female game, the club has joined Modibodi, a main domestic clothing brand, whose logo will appear at the back of the Hammers’ underpants during the 2025/26 season. It is the first type of this type in the female super -leafle and marks another important step in challenging stigma around menstruation in sport.

West Ham was one of the first clubs to move from traditional white shorts to more favorable colors in the period, and this new association is based on this mission to foster inclusion and body trust among young athletes.

Modibodi’s goal is to support that of the two girls who avoid sports during their period, giving them confidence to stay in the game. As part of collaboration, a limited co-mark collection will be launched by the end of this season, mixing the iconic Claret and West Ham blue with Modibodi’s leak test technology, all designed with the player’s entry.

Speaking of collaboration, Rebecca Rowley, responsible for collaborations with West Ham, he said: “From the initial conversations with Modibodi, we have truly inspired ourselves to their commitment to create positive changes and eliminate restrictions that have been retained for some time now in sports.”

Modibodi’s executive director, Kerry Cusack, commented: “Collaboration with the West Ham United women’s team allows us to be together and say: Your body is not a barrier. Together, we are inspiring a future where all girls can play with confidence, courage and pride, every day of the month.”

This association is not only symbolic: it is practical and visible progress. Putting the technology proof of the period directly in the kit, West Ham and Modibodi help to dismantle the barriers that have limited the participation of women and girls in sports.
