Chapter 6 of the Video Prime series, entitled “When Lies Give You Lemons,” follows the Sinclair family in the summer of 16 during their annual lemon hunt. Harris hides 200 lemons and one lime on the property, and whoever finds the lime is awarded. This year, the person who finds the most lemons wins his house in Boston and whoever finds the lime he will own Beechwood after his death.
Tensions arise among the Sinclair family are always competitive as they fight for the awards. However, an extra layer is added to the game when Gat’s mother, Maya (Karen David), make an unexpected appearance to the island – for the first time.
After Gat has found the lime (“Harris has been found at all times”), the liar offer a plan to combine all their lemons, so he has no choice to be considered a winner. Harris, refusing to give his estates outside the family, gives up a gate for a prestigious scholarship that would allow him to travel the world – separating him from a cadence and Beechwood.

Today (summer 17), is still determined to get answers. So, she takes the boat from Beechwood to the mainland to access a laptop. When her memory is triggeredShe has a chapter in the bookstore. Elsewhere in the episode, Cadence wakes up back up in her bed in Beechwood after dreaming of being on a date with Gat and getting closer to finding out what happened to her.
Back in summer 16, Gat decides to apply for the scholarship. He and a cadence share a tearful farewell. When she returns to the mainland, Maya reveals that her arrival on the island was not surprising after all. Harris called her to remind Gat that he was “too happy” on Beechwood.
After a conversation with his uncle Ed (Rahul kohli) About what it is like to fall in love with a member of the Sinclair family, Gat decides to return to Beechwood and boost the scholarship. (Ed admits he does not regret his relationship with Mamie gummer‘s carrie.)
When Gat tries to take the water taxi back to Beechwood, it has stopped as “emergency only boats” are allowed on the island, suggesting that something may have happened to one of the sinclairs.
