The agent of Micah Parsons is still mythified because his client is no longer a Dallas cowboy and says that The Edge Rusher always wanted to stay with the team.
Parsons was contributed last week to the Green Bay Packers After Cowboys owner Jerry Jones refused to discuss an extension of the contract with Agent David Mulugheta after believed that he had already reached a verbal agreement with the player himself.
Instead, the 26 -year -old was marketed in the Packers in exchange for three pro Defense of Pro Bowl, Kenny Clark and the first rounds in 2026 and 2027.
Mulugheta negotiated a four -year contract of $ 188 million with Green Bay, making Parsons the best paid quarterback in NFL history.
“I think the most important thing is that Micah wanted to be a cowboy,” Mulugheta told the first ESPN dam today. “He grew up cheering for the cowboy, wearing the blue and the white to Penn State, took him to the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. He wanted to be a cowboy and we did everything we could for to continue to be a cowboy.”
Mulugheta said that there were no parsons at no time under the impression that a verbal agreement with Jones had.
He added: “If you are a 25 -year -old football player and your boss, who is the most powerful person in the NFL, starts talking about contracts, it is difficult for you to end this conversation. So they had a conversation. Micah settled with his head.
“Obviously, there is a dynamic of power that is a little different. A boy is the owner of the team and the GM, and the other is Micah Parsons, a young 25 -year -old football player. So I’m not sure if there was a mistaken communication when Micah left, but at no time did Micah be negotiating a contract.
“Wait for someone like Micah Parsons to be one of the best NFL proponents and also a great lawyer when it comes to contracts, I think it’s a bit unfair.
“His job is to get out of there and pursue the quarterbacks, and our job is to get out of there and pursue commas for him. I’m not sure exactly why he went like this, but we were always ready and open to negotiating a contract with the Jones family.”
Packers open their season against Detroit Lions on Sunday with Parsons struggling to be in shape due to a back problem.
“What I will tell you, is that Micah will do everything I can possibly to go up to the football field, just as he did when he was on a cowboys sweater,” said Mulugheta.
