Vincent Kompany is not thinking of the possible consequences of the Bayern Munich that leaves the Champions League to Inter Milan, as he and his team retain the belief that they will prevail.
The odds seemingly stacked against Bayern, who lost the first 2-1 game to Allianz Arena last week.
The side of Kompany deals with a series of injuries, with Jamal Musiala, Dayot Upmecano and Alphonso Davies among those that are not available.
The Bayern is in an excellent position to regain the title of Bundesliga by Bayerkusen, who headed to the title race by six points despite the draw on Saturday 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund.
But expectations in the Bayern extend beyond the domestic dominance, and Kompany was asked at his pre -party press conference on the possibility of losing their job in case they did not change.
“Always ask what happens if we are eliminated. What if we happen? I have a new contract? But our mindset is that we will do it,” said Kompany.
“This is how we enter the game. We are in mid -April and we are in a game of the Champions League semifinals: three wins to win the Bundesliga. It’s an opportunity. We live for the opportunity”
The Bayern has not kept a clean sheet in any of its last five games, all of which have seen Jonas Urgig Member for the injured Manuel Neuer.
Kompany, however, is pleased with what he has seen from Urgig at the time.
“This is one of the positive stories we have to remove. Despite the mishap, we have 100 percent trust that we can do with these boys,” added Kompany.
“What Jonas and the other boys have shown so far is that they can put us in the actions that will allow us to obtain results. The pressure is about experienced players. We will take the energy and talent of Jonas with us.”
A key selection problem for Kompany refers to who to play. Michael Olise and Leroy Sane began against Dortmund, but it was Serge Gnabry who left the bench to put the Bayern 2-1.
“We have more than two players who have performed. This is very important for tomorrow,” said Kompany.
“The party will go to the first half, in the first stage a long time was in the closing stages. That is why it is important that Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise are in shape.
“We will see tomorrow who begins. The boys have acted, we hope that tomorrow will be again.”
