The sky was as blue as the famous waters of Lake Tahu when Gloria Brigantina and her friends decided to gain a foothold and get a cocktail with rum. He begins to feel cold and the wind rose.
The band played on the shore, and the people floated – the children running in their swimwear when the first official weekend began in this popular place of California.
It seemed that everything changed on Saturday. The thunderstorm moved, sending the tents and sheds. Water with white and 8 feet (2.5 m) scored several boats, including a 27-foot vessel filled with tourists.
On Monday, officials confirmed two more people on board that the boat was found dead – bringing up to eight.
Ms. Brigantina, who visited the popular alpine lake between California and Nevada with friends from Texas and California, watched the boats crashed into each other, broke off their anchors and crashed ashore. The wind that reached 35 km/h (56 km/h) even brought short snow.
She safely watched the earth when she and her friends were aboard, tipping off, immersing some of her group’s personal belongings.
“Some boat owners cried when their boats were destroyed,” she said, adding that people risked their lives to help the statutory boats unload passengers when people frantically tried to get out of the water against the background of the conditions.
By the time the band packed and escaped. Their scene was under the water, she said.
“I felt the smell of gas leak.” The waves just beat it so fast that they fled, fell off, many cried. ”
Within 35 minutes after going ashore, she says she had nine boats before them.
Ms. Brigantine-Samuned shepherd and was visiting her friends who work in the Western industry with horses. They were there to have fun and help friends make content in social media with Western topics. Photos and videos from their trip showed that the group dancing with drinks and posing in festive caps on a boat in front of the storm.
Ms. Brigantina said she grew up in Taho’s lake and knows that the weather could change quickly.
“It happened suddenly. The water just shouted to the shore,” she said. “It was bad.”
Ms. Brigantine says bad weather, but no one expected a squall of such force. She and others complained that they did not see such a storm in the usually serene lake for decades.
Authorities on Monday announced that they had found two additional bodies after a 27 -foot tourist boat snack.
Ten people from this vessel hit the water at about 3:00 pm local time on Saturday, and only two were found alive, the Coast Guard reports.
None of the victims were identified at the El Sheriff’s office – although they said that six people were initially dead, they were adults.
“The identification of the deceased from this terrible incident will not be released until proper notifications are made,” the authorities said.
The incident happened in the southwest corner of Lake Tahu, the largest alpine lake in North America. The area is known for its sunlight – the alpine lake, surrounded by Mountains in Sierra -Nevada.
The storm went almost as fast as it came.
Photos and videos and videos of Mrs. Brigantina show that the gray sky and massive dumps disappear until 16:30, and the sun’s rays and transparent sapphire waters return to Taho’s lake.
