In the 13th game of the International League (IL) T20 2025 between Desert vipers i Capitals of Dubai on Monday (January 20), zahir khan he produced a masterclass of wrist bowling to dismiss the hard-hitting Pakistan batsman Azam Khan.
On the fifth ball of the 15th over, Zahir, known for his ability to extract sharp spin from the surface, bowled a pitch that was slightly shorter in length and wide of the off stump, roughly on the seventh stump line . The ball had a lot of spin and stayed lower than expected. Azam, anticipating a slightly higher bounce, tried to pull the ball towards the mid-on region. However, the strong spin combined with the lack of bounce completely fooled the batsman.
As Azam came through the line, the ball swung sharply inwards, breaking through his defenses and clipping the leg stump. It was a textbook example of how a wrist spinner can use variations in his turn and bounce to unsettle even the most aggressive batsmen.
Azam had tried to give momentum to the innings with his aggressive approach. Facing just seven balls, he had already smashed a six, indicating his intent to dominate the bowling. However, Zahir’s tactical brilliance ensured that Azam’s stay at the crease was short-lived. The turn in the delivery was so over the top that even a batsman of Azam’s caliber found himself completely outclassed.
Zahir Ripper! 👌

Despite early setbacks, Naib balanced the innings for the side Sikandar Raza (24 of 26) before Najibullah Zadran (10 out of 10) ensured a comfortable finish.
