Marnus Labuschagne he is generally known for his patient and temperamental batting and has a reputation for providing stability to the team’s innings amidst the continuous fall of wickets at the other end. However, in the recent meeting between Brisbane Heat i Hobart Hurricanes to the Gabba, the cricketing world saw a different take on the Australian ace batsman.

Marnus Labuschagne hits the ball out of the ground in an unconventional way

The 30-year-old who recently returned to his Big Bash League (BBL) team after being part of the Australian selection of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India he was playing his first match of the BBL season for the home team.

After winning the toss, the Hurricanes won the toss and invited the Heat to bat first. Labuschagne came to the crease later Nathan McSweeney he soon returned to the pavilion. Having scored an emphatic half-century off 31 balls, it was time for Labuschagne to switch gears.

In the last delivery of the 15th, Labuschagne converted a length ball of Riley Meredith on a full toss down, sidestepping towards his off stump and pushing the ball towards fine leg for a six. The crowd received Labuschagne’s unconventional shot in a remarkable way and thanked him for the shot.

Labuschagne’s solid batting display puts Heat in a comfortable position

Brisbane Heat posted a competitive total of 201/6 in their 20 overs, showing a solid team effort with key contributions from a number of players. captain Usman Khawaja provided a strong foundation with a steady 23 off 32 balls, while Matt Renshaw he played a quick knock of 40 off 32 balls before being run out.

However, it was Labuschagne who was the Heat’s standout performer with the bat, adding 77 off 48 balls to anchor the innings to a big total. The innings saw a couple of quick dismissals, with Max Bryant falling to Mitchell Owen and wicketkeeper batsman Jimmy Alsop being caught Nathan Ellis. Ellis was the most successful bowler for the opposition, claiming 3 wickets removing Khawaja, McSweeney and Alsop. Marcus Bean i Mitchell Owen he also took vital wickets for the Hurricanes to restrict the Heat’s total.
