However, former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh whoever was on the commentary board couldn’t let the delivery go easily and immediately pointed out the similarity between Ferguson’s slight limp at the start before he bowled the delivery with Bumrah’s run.

Ferguson has managed to surprise the batsmen in BBL this season with this move picking up the pace in the opening phase and beating the batsmen as they mis-anticipate the speed of the incoming delivery. Ferguson had a spell as the Thunder met the Heat in the 25th meeting of the season. He also made highlights in the same match by bowling a sensational delivery to take his bail Jack Wood‘s off stump to send the Heat opener back to the pavilion in just 2 runs.

Ferguson has impressed with the bowl so far in BBL|14

The 33-year-old pacer has been one of the highlights of the Thunders’ pace attack this season with 8 wickets in 6 matches so far. More importantly, Ferguson has managed to keep his economy rate at a remarkable 7.16, making him one of the most efficient bowlers of the season so far. Ferguson had also previously appeared in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for teams like Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) i Gujarat Titans (GT). The New Zealand international played Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the previous season. Before the IPL auction, the franchise decided to release him.
