President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet picks have faced questioning from senators before voting on their nominees.

Pam Bondi, Trump’s former lawyer and his pick for US attorney general, dodged questions about allegations of fraud in the 2020 election and was pushed to pardon those involved in the January 6 riots.

Senator Marco Rubio also had a confirmation hearing for his candidacy for secretary of state. Rubio’s trial was disrupted by protesters as well as the announcement of a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Gaza.
