Wellage started from Colombo in the first hours to be with his family. Sri Lanka will start his Super Four campaign against Bangla desh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, September 20.

Ex-Russell Arnold by Sri Lanka, Russell Arnold, confirmed in the air that Dunith Wellage’s father, Suranga, had died. Arnold expressed his condolences after the news and hoped that the Sri Lankans would remain in front of the Super Four phase.
“Dunith Wellage’s father, Suranga, died a while ago. He also played a little cricket. You know how big is our school cricket scene. He captured the Prince of Wales College when I captured my school, St Peter’s,” Arnold said while starting at Sony Sports Network.
“Very sad to know it. The news was broken in Dunith some time ago. And our condolences to the family. The celebrations will be silenced. The team is a tight place, the dressing room. We hope this links them and helps them to follow and do it in the super 4 stage,” he added.
Speaking of the party, Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by six doctors. Pursuing a 170 goal, the 2022 champions reached the total with eight balls to save. Kusal Mendis scored 74 unbeaten of 52 balls, while Kamindu Mendis played a 26 -ball Cameo Cameo.
