Eric Graise‘s Tracker He caused absence and surprise surprise – But was the show’s creative team amazed by how much Bobby was lost?
Before Finishing Season 2 on Sunday, May 11, Executive Producer Reid’s profit lean in on bobby going for a handful of episodes, say only Weekly US“It’s one of those things where the availability of actors is always a problem. There have been shows where people don’t even notice (if a character is missing).”
Reid, 58, pointed out that Tracker does not act as most shows with ensemble cast.
“You don’t (always) see Reenie. He talks to Velma for two seconds. He may talk to Bobby for one phone call. The show works because you’re over Justin (Hartley)Shoulder, ”explained Reid.“ One of the challenges in season 3 is going to re -form the team and figure out what that team looks like. “
According to Reid, a priority for the show is to ensure that Tracker is not “Falling to complacency.”
“I don’t want the show to ‘call a friend’ every week,” added Reid. “I think that gets old and Justin always challenges me on that. It’s like, ‘Do we need to do this? Do I need to call Bobby all the time? Can I do this?'” “
Tracker follows Colter Survivor (Hartley) as he travels the country to help find missing people, track criminal case information and more. Each episode shows that Colter gets help from his team – Teddi Handler (Robin Weigert), Hacker Bobby and the Reenie Attorney (Fiona rene).
Earlier this season, Graie, 35, obviously absent of six episodes. His cousin Randy (Chris Lee) brought her to help Colter before Bobby returned, caused backlash from viewers who grew used to see Graise on their screen.
“Randy came in and gave something to the show that was different too. There was real warmth and fun when he came in. It was something I thought we were also lost a little in some episodes. It was immediately fun when he came in,” Reid noted. “With those dynamics – and while playing with this team dynamics – that’s all things we’re going to keep playing with them in season 3 as the show evolves.”
Reid continued: “We’re going to bring back some characters from seasons 1 and 2 – we’re going to see them increasingly. There are some fun characters that I think are fun in Colter (season to season).”
Despite the possible changes, Reid explained that would not be “rotating door” of team members.
“I think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve those characters – Randy or Reenie or Bobby – they’re not just people who pick up the phone alone and go, ‘Okay, this is the answer.’ That’s when the show calls it in, ”he explained. “The challenge is when you had to learn about them, which I think was interesting. That’s the challenge of the show is not to get it to a formula.”
Season 3 is not yet produced, But there are already some ideas be thrown around. The good news? Tracker has no “any rules,” and that has allowed it to grow every time viewers look back on Colter.
“The only rule I really have from the show is every week Colter is going to come to a new place and there will be a new case. How it gets those answers and what it uses on the team, it’s all available,” Reid teased. “Meeting these strange (local) characters is something we’re going to try to make more of it as the season goes on. Colter only comes in and interacts with other characters. That’s fun seeing Justin flex those muscles with very good guest cast members.”
