Former Indian Cricter Commenter Aakash Chopra recalled a conversation involved in Jasprit Bumrah with the legend of Pakistan’s fast work, Waqar Younis, in the midst of a Bowler’s workload management talk in India on the recent tour of England.
Jasprit Bumrah lost two of the five India tests on the recent tour of England as part of the workload management process to protect him after a serious back injury during the Australian tour earlier this year. Despite the history of their injuries, many have criticized their absence in the final test in the oval.
Aakash Chopra recently revealed that he once shared a car ride with Waqar Younis, and had a conversation about Bumrah’s brightness. During his car ride, Younis compared Jasprit Bumrah with the iconic Pakistan’s iconic diaper and former Captain Wasim Akram.
Your daily dose of cricket!
Former Pakistani said Bumrah is even better than the grains of the past, praising his skill and intelligence from Cricket and calling the best fast diaper the world has ever seen.
Aakash Chopra told his YouTube channel: “We were in a car. Waqar Younis was with me. I asked him,” Everyone of the cricket has respect for Wasim Akram for the variations of his bowling and the control he had. It was par excellence. Bumrah is like a Wasim Akram of right hand, right? He replied, “No, it’s better than all.
In the meantime, the former Cricter and former Indian Sandeep Patil has criticized the BCCI approach to manage Jasprit Bumrah’s workload. He questioned the role of the Physio team, asking if they were given too much influence on the decisions that the captain, the coach and the selectors should involve.
Patil emphasized the importance of commitment to representing the country, remembering as legends such as Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev played through all difficult situations and said that true players fight for their team and do not avoid challenges.
Patil said that past legends never asked for breaks, never complained and that their races extended to another 16 years. He also recalled how he played in a test game after injuring his head in Australia in 1981.

Patil also mentioned that current cricketers have access to better facilities and medical care compared to the past. However, he believes that the players of previous times were more ready to push the pain and difficulties for the team.
The former Indian cricketter said that players often played despite injuries because they simply focused on representing their country without being hired in the past.
