One of the regions of the dispute is the Russian region of Kursk, Putin said, where last year Ukraine launched a military invasion and seized some territory.

He claimed that Russia had completely returned under control over Kursk, and said that the Ukrainian troops were “isolated” there.

“They are trying to leave, but we control. Their equipment was abandoned.”

“Kursk has two options for Ukrainians – surrender or die.”

“Putin, of course, is afraid to tell President Trump directly what he wants to continue this war, wants to kill the Ukrainians.”

The Russian leader has established so many preconditions that “nothing will happen,” Zelensky said.
