Veteran Cricter Indian Cheeshwar climbed has opened the Kohli virating approach during the game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Ralarda said that Kohli should be kept in his natural game despite the favorable conditions of the spin at the Ma Chidambaram stadium.
Virated Kohli started his IPL 2025 campaign with a game winner against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the opening of the season. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru Batter scored 59 unbeaten of 36 balls, including four limits and three six. The team won a seven -wicket victory in Kolkata.
Speaking to Espncricinfo, Chetshwar climb said that if the RCB BAT first, they must adopt an aggressive strategy and take advantage of the PowerPlay. Ralara advised Kohli not altering his natural game, but he warned him to play with some precaution on a spinning surface.
“If they beat first, they must be aggressive. They must use their power very well. I would insist that they should not change their game, as it looks like a different player,” he said.
“I agree that it must be a bit cautious in Chepauk, but at the same time it is not easy for a mixer to change during the night. It has been talked about a lot in the way in which the IPL is turned on. And the way it goes down now, it looks like a different player. So I do not think that his approach has to change in this particular game.”
CHTSHWAR APPRANTA said that Virat Kohli has the ability to manage top quality spinners such as Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadja. He stated that Kohli’s numbers could not completely reflect his capacity against the spin, but his global quality as a batter is still indisputable.
“Sprinkled is someone who is able to demolish enough, either ashwin or jad.
“Maybe not in this format if we look at the numbers, but he is a quality player. I think that if he can drive from the front and use this power game, and if RCB can approach 60-70 in the first six, then they set a good base for them,” he said.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have to take the Chennai Super Kings at the Ma Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, March 28.
Spread Kohli has played 13 IPL entries in the enclosure. It has scored 383 runs with an average of 29.46 and a strike rate of 111.01, including two half a century, with a higher score of 58.
The RCB star is also about to an important IPL milestone. Kohli needs only five more runs to overcome Shikhar Dhawan as the highest scorer against CSK in the IPL history. Kohli has 1,053 runs in 33 games against CSK.
Dhawan leads the list with 1,057 runs in 29 games to an average of 44.04 and a strike rate of 131.79, including 101.
