VIDEO: Tyson Fury – ‘You get nothing in these countries’

Newly released image of TNT Sports reveals Tyson Fury’s boisterous reaction moments after Oleksandr Usyk was handed a unanimous decision in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. The three judges – Patrick Morley of the United States, Ignacio Robles of Panama and Gerardo Martinez of Puerto Rico – scored the fight. 116–112 in favor of Usyk. Furious at the verdict, Fury vented, “Oscar De La Hoya, everybody, said he took me four rounds. That’s what he’s innite. Stolen there. F* ’em.”** He said bluntly to coach Ben Davison: “What do you think Ben had done? Really?” Davison replied: “I thought it was really tight. I thought you’d make it to be honest with you.”

Still reeling from his previous split decision loss in May, Fury attacked the venue, stating: “You won’t get anything in these countries.” He insisted, “I swear to God, I thought I beat him for at least three rounds. I ran the fight, on the front foot all night.” He thought he was mastering the pace, looking like a bulldozer moving forward. Despite the judges’ unwavering consensus, Fury’s frustration echoed through the Kingdom Arena, prompting speculation of possible bias in Saudi Arabia.

Like a storm breaking over the desert, Fury’s outrage could portend a deeper crack in boxing’s scoring system. As Usyk basks in his latest triumph, Fury’s controversial stance, fueled by raw emotion, makes us wonder if justice has prevailed. The saga Fury vs. Usyk is far from done.
