The initial attraction for a struggle between Eubank JR and Conor Benn greatly based on the success of each man’s father, where perspective almost acted as a quasi-non-non-non-rivalry of his parents. Eubank JR is, of course, the son of Chris Eubank, a former WBO champion, both at a middle weight and a stormy dinner. On the other side, Benn is the son of Nigel Benn, who also kept the Wbo belt on the middle weight, and was also the WBC champion Super Middleweight. These former two -divisions champions fought twice, first in 1990, when Eubank won the average Wbo title against Benn. They then fought again in 1993, this time in a unified combat in Super Middleweight, where Eubank and Benn retained each of their respective WBO and WBC titles, after the revenge ended in a draw.
The two children were originally planned to fight in October 2022, but a few days before the struggle was supposed to pass, Benn was positive for a prohibited substance and the struggle was technically postponed. Now that it finally happened, it ended up exceeding expectations, ultimately evolving to a good fide of the year.
