Video Archive shows the results selected by previous popes

About 133 cardinals from all over the world will gather in the Vatican city to choose the next Pope, in a conclave since May 7.

When white smoke rises from the chimney of the Sistine chapel, the world will know that a new pontiff was chosen.

The BBC looked at the archival staff from the results of the previous endings, down to Pope Pius XII in 1939 to Pope Francis in 2013.

See the moment when the election of each pope was announced and how long it took the cardinals to choose them.
