The tributes are paid by the American Star of World War and social media stars Jake Larson, known on the Internet as “Dad Jake” who died at the age of 102.
Larson was among the Union troops in D-Day, who attacked German Nazi troops on Northern France in 1944, helping to end the Second World War.
In later life, he accepted social media and gained 1.2 million followers on Tiktok, where he shared his stories to celebrate World War and his fallen comrades.
Three weeks ago, he presented Amy’s award from the British-Iranian journalist, Christian Omanpur for their interviews, marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day last year.
His granddaughter McCael Larson stated in Tiktok that he had died on July 17, but “went peacefully and even hacked the jokes” until the very end “.
“I am so grateful that I shared my dad Jake with everyone.
“As Dad said, I love you the most,” McCaela Larson added.
She asked her family to receive confidentiality, but said that “she would continue to share Dad’s stories and support his memory alive.”
“I didn’t even know what a tick was until my granddaughter sent me one day,” Jake Larson said when asked about the app.
He also served in the US Army in the Battle of Burial in World War II.
Before the union invasion of the occupied France, when he was 19 years old, he was located in Lurgan, in Northern Ireland.
In recent years, Larson has visited Normandy to honor D-Day several times.
