“Very rarely” for the accused for holding, the husband says

A woman who provided a poisonous mushroom for her family, said that it was “very rare” for her holding public meetings at home.

Simon Paterson was invited to the deadly food prepared by Erin Paterson, but decided not to visit the day before.

Mr. Paterson is the first witness to Ms Paterson, who is accused of killing three relatives and for attempting to kill another when the case focuses on lunch at Velington in her house in July 2023.

Ms Paterson, 50, did not plead guilty, and her defense team says she “panic” after unintentionally providing the poison members of the family she loved.

Three people were killed in the hospital on days after eating, including the former son-in-law Ms Paterson, the 70th Don Paterson, and the 70th Gayl Paterson, as well as his sister Gayla, Hiser Wilkinson, 66 years. Local pastor Jan Wilkinson survived after weeks of treatment at the hospital.

The jury was shown text messages that exchanged between Simon and Erin Paterson the day before the deadly lunch of the mushroom.

Mr -n Paterson said he feels “too uncomfortable” about visiting lunch.

Erin Paterson replied, “It really disappointed. I spent a lot of hours this week, preparing for lunch tomorrow … It is important for me to have all tomorrow, and that I can talk that I need to have.”

The prosecution claims that Ms Paterson invited a group for lunch “in the appearance of her cancer.”

The court in Morvel, regional Victoria, heard that a number of division and reconciliation periods occurred between the couple in 2007 and the division in 2015 – including Erin Paterson, leaving her husband and their son in the middle of the Australian road in 2009.

Mr -n Paterson had to drive from Townsville to Perth – at a distance of about 5,000 km (3100 miles) – in solitude with the child, he said in court.

The couple met in 2002, while both work in the City Council Monash, where Mr. Paterson was a construction engineer.

Asked about his wife, Mr. Paterson said, “Erin is very smart.

“Some things that attracted me to her first and foremost are definitely her intelligence. It is quite witty and can be quite ridiculous.”

Asked about how his wife joined his parents, Don and Gale Paterson, Mr. Paterson replied: “Especially she received with her dad. They shared her love and learning in the world.”

Mr. Paterson added with his voice, “I think she loved his delicate nature.”

He said that Ms Paterson received a degree in Business and Accounting, and was also qualified as an air traffic controller who worked at Talbourne Airport in Melbourne.

Mr -n Patterson painted a picture of the relationship that was forwarded – the first during the first two years of marriage – at one point they become emotional and ask fabrics.

After the final division, there was a lot of communication through a textual message, including the “lashes” and talked about politics, he said.

But there were changes in the relationship in 2022, when Ms Paterson was “upset” when her husband listed herself as parting in the tax return.

Mr -n Paterson said that the “chatty character” of their relationship “has been largely stopped” after that – only about the “practical management” of their family life.

The court heard Mr. Paterson talked to his father in the morning after lunch and found that both of his parents were from the north with vomiting and diachards, and that they called ambulance.

And after trying to call Aunt and Uncle Hiser and Jan Wilkinson, he went home when they didn’t answer.

“Ian answered the door. He looked gray and frightened,” Mr. Paterson reminded. “Yes, he fought.

“I said,” How are you? “He said” wrong. “

Then Mr. Paterson saw Hiser Wilkinson sat on the couch, he said in court.

“She looked pretty. She had a container as a bucket,” he said.

“She mentioned again about the colored plate, she asked me, ‘Erin is short of dishes? That’s why she will have such a multicolored plate she served? “” said Mr. Paterson.

“I said yes, Erin has no so many plates, and this may be the reason.”

Mr. Paterson again became emotional, describing his parents at the carumbour hospital, where they were in the same room, but individual beds.

“Dad was much worse than his mom. He really fought,” he said, fighting with tears.

“He was lying on his side. He was noticeably pursued, with a truly discolored face, which struggled.

“The speech was an effort, making energy for the conversation was an effort, and his voice was tense so that he was not inside. He ached.”
