Madhya Pradesh All-Rounder Venkatesh Iyer has recovered well after spraining his ankle on the opening day of the Madhya Pradesh Elite C match Kerala. According to a Sportskeeda report, Venkatesh Iyer’s condition is fine, and he is doing well despite not taking the field on Day 2.
Iyer came to bat at No. 6 off 18 as his team struggled to 49/4 against Kerala. However, he faced only three deliveries before leaving the field in discomfort due to a twisted ankle. Iyer was attended to on the field by physios and reserve players, causing concern among fans.
The report states that Venkatesh Iyer’s ankle injury is not serious and he is recovering well. The 30-year-old did not take the field on Friday, January 24, as a precaution, but there are no major injury problems.
Madhya Pradesh were struggling at 50 for 4, with their key middle-order batsman injured, and their situation worsened to 95 for 7. However, Venkatesh Iyer returned to bat despite an injured ankle.
