Texas police identified a man from -the border as a person who allegedly threatened deaths aimed at Houston Astros Pitcher Lance McCaller -Jr. and his family after his bad start against Cincinnati Red last month.

“Investigators talked to him, and he stated that he lost the money for the Astros game and was disappointed and unwavering when he attacked social media,” the secretary said. “He was apologetic and asked the investigators to apologize to McCaller’s family.”

Astros hired a 24-hour security for McCaller and his family after he reported on the team’s Internet. Astros also contacted Security mlb And the Houston Police Department with these problems.

McCaller said he needed to try to explain the situation of his 5-year-old daughter.

McCaller, who returned this year after missed two full seasons with injuries, said the threats were the worst thing that happened for his career.

“People must want to succeed,” said the father of two. “We want to succeed, but it should not come to our families, children in our lives, feeling that they are not safe where they live or where they sit in games.”

The man at the center of these threats was not found because the charges were not filed, police said. ESPN reports that the case remains open.
