Fans strongly believe Oleksandr Usyk has it NO chance to hold on to his three heavyweight titles without scoring a knockout of Tyson Fury in their rematch this Saturday, December 21 in Riyadh.
Unified champion Oleksandr fights the establishment on Saturday night and may need a miracle knockout to win.
Turki Alalshikh said he wants the trilogy fight between the two, and there is also massive interest in a mega-money clash between Fury vs Anthony Joshua. For these contests to happen to create the most amount of fan interest, Fury has to win. Turki outwardly said who wants to win on Saturday night is important.
Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) needs to understand what he’s up against in this fight because he likely needs a knockout to win. As seen in the first fight, close rounds will favor Fury. To win rounds, Usyk needs to pound Fury to the ground and dominate him after he gets up. Even in the rounds where Usyk drops Fury, you can’t assume they’re going to be handed to him.
That little episode in the ninth round of the May 18 Fury-Usyk fight may be a prelude to the battle Oleksandr will face on Saturday night. It may require him to knock out Fury with a single headshot in the rematch.
A lot of people think the A Fury star will get one false victory with a controversial 10-round split decision like the one he received in his fight against Francis Ngannou last year on October 28, 2023 in Riyadh.
“No,” Usyk said to the Trampling groundwhen asked about his thoughts on Turki Alalshikh wanting Tyson Fury to win because of his desire for a trilogy fight. “I win.”
