“It was extremely difficult to see you endure as much pain as you did in the last months of your life. But we choose to remember you the way we knew you. A gem, one of the few guys who touched people’s hearts in a special way wherever you go,” Prince wrote.

Her words reflected deep pain and love, capturing the profound impact Melissa had on those around her. “We miss you mom and can hardly believe you’re gone. But you left a mark on all our hearts that can never be erased. Happy New Year my love. Rest in peace up there, your children will always love you they’ll love it!”

After India was bowled out for just 185 in his first innings, Usman Khawaja stepped in to open Australia late on Day 1. But his time at the crease didn’t last long.
